We caught up with Judy Brown, President of American Life League, an organization dedicated to helping end abortion and human killing research in America, at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast.  She just recently released her latest book Saving Those Damned Catholics.  When asked about the book, Brown said:

“Saving Those Damned Catholics is a defense of Catholic teaching.  It is a historical perspective of what has happened since the Catholic Bishops have allowed, for the last 45 years or more, descent within the Church.  And the crippling affect that it has upon the laity when they hear things from the pulpit or read things in their Catholic newspaper that contradict Catholic teaching.  This book is an attempt to set the record straight and also to help the average Catholic understand what he or she can do to spread the faith.  To be, if you will, faithful to the truth.”

The Prayer Breakfast was attended by President Bush as well as many Catholic leaders.

In the case of Catholic teaching on the true meaning of marriage and sexual relations, the real question is, does God’s design for marriage as enunciated by the church change because modern times have altered the way man looks at marriage,children, and his personal sexuality?  The answer is no, it does not.  So why do so many people think differently

I think this question and answer fit in general Christianity as well.

Judy points out how the Catholic Church has undergone moral changes which have affected the morality of Catholics.  For instance, “in 1965 about 45 percent of Catholics approved of birth control, but by 1993 that number had increased to 85 percent.

Also, when looking at Pre-Vatican, Vatican and Post-Vatican morality, there were profound changes, all of them it seems were negative.
