After nearly two years of lying in a coma a 9 year old Yamhill, Oregon boy woke up from a coma. Doctors described Devon Rivers as being in a PSV (persistive vegetative state) with no hope for recovery.
His mother said “He was dying before our eyes. He literally could no longer breathe.”
Doctors could not figure out what happened to the boy or why he was in the coma. The father said “We were told that there would be no hope, that he would not get any better than he was”.
