Sharon Hughes was a guest Sunday night on Heartland with John Kasich. The topic was Barbara Boxer’s comments during a hearing with Condoleeza Rice. She said:
“Now the issue is, who pays the price, who pays the price, I’m not gonna pay a personal price. My kids are too old and my grandchild is too young. You’re not gonna pay a particular price, as I understand, with an immediate family. So who pays the price? The American military and their families”
She was insinuating that Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice couldn’t comment on the war because she didn’t have anyone close to her serving in active duty combat.
Sharon Hughes responded:
“This was a blow below the belt, to a single woman who has spent her lifetime devoted to her career. Even the bigger issue here, was this just another outstanding example of the feminist disconnect between their ideology and their political agenda, or was this just another jab..”
